HAVE YOU BEEN SEXUALLY ASSAULTED?

Contact 911 if you do not feel safe

Seek medical attention at your local Emergency Room.
They can treat injuries and address any concerns you have about STIs and/or pregnancy.
Hospital staff can also collect and preserve evidence if you choose.*

You have the right to report the crime to a law enforcement agency.  Reporting the assault does NOT mean you have to prosecute.

You have the right to have evidence collected at no cost to you, even if you decide not to report the crime to law enforcement.

Call the Rape Crisis Center at 910-392-7460An Advocate will help you.

Please remember, IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT.  No one asks to be sexually assaulted.  It does not matter how you were dressed, if you were drinking, or doing drugs.  It is NEVER your fault.

*Evidence is important if you choose to prosecute!  Don't wash, douche, eat or drink, or change clothes and go to the hospital as soon as possible.
